Your Administrator

Summit storage areas are undergoing a Spring organization blitz. As unclaimed and unclassifiable items have been uncovered they have been put in a lost and found area in the salon. Please look over these items, put things in their proper storage area at Summit or take it home. All left overs will be donated to the Goodwill or other charity at the end of the month. Thanks, Suzanne McQuaide, Bonnie Bowman
Solar Electrical System
Norm Dessel has donated his time and expertise to design and contract for a solar energy system. There remains a short time to qualify for state rebates. Although we are hopeful that we can raise the $30,000 needed, we can cancel the contract should we fall short. Several members have approached me wishing to, in addition to their pledges, donate funds toward the solar energy system. We are happy to answer any questions.

Task Force on Growth
Summit's Board recently established a Task Force on Growth to look at ways to accommodate our growing attendance at Sunday Services and recommend to the Fellowship what might be a solution in the short term (next few months). Then we will look into long term solutions (1-5 years) for the increasing attendance Summit is experiencing. Lastly, we will address other issues related to increased membership (including RE growth and integration of new members). Also, please read the article in the April Newsletter.
Please speak to anyone on our Task Force or a Board Member about what we are doing and we will also keep the membership informed.
The TF members are (no chairperson) : Miles Beauchamp; Mark Bryning; Jai Ghorpade; Barbara Sorensen; Mark Weedman; Jennifer White. Rev. Kathleen is ex-officio.
We are keeping attention paid to "people" issues in our investigation. We are addressing variables of accessibility, comfort, safety, aesthetics, layout of sanctuary for getting around, getting in and out. We want to make sure and recommend the best solution for everyone’s use of our Fellowship’s campus.
Reserved Parking Signs
Five reserved parking signs have been placed in the southwest corner of Summit's parking lot (that's across from the handicapped parking spot in front of the Sanctuary). Two of the spots are Reserved For First Time Guests and three are Reserved For Seniors. You can see a diagram showing the exact location of the spots by going to Summit's website (www.summitarian.org). Go to the Home Page and click on the Parking link.
Directories
New Directories are available! For our members and friends, the first one is free. After that they are $2.00, if you need an extra copy for work or the car.
Summit Website
Check out our website! You will be seeing many changes on Summit’s website (www.summitarian.org) during the coming weeks. I’ll be experimenting with different designs and format and the data will be brought up to date. If you have any information that should be on the website, or see any incorrect data, contact me by email ASAP. LaMar Rogers: lamarrogers@cox.net
Badges
If you are one of the many who forget to turn in your name badge before you go to coffee, we have a solution. There is now a basket by the door in the Salon to put your badges in. The badges will be retrieved during the week and put where they belong.
Last Chance Please make sure you have taken anything you are interested in from the unclaimed items pile in the salon. Whatever is left will be donated to a deserving agency this week.
